The NBHI is focused on issues concerning the accommodation of intramural health care. The Board’s field of work includes hospitals, nursing homes and residential care, mental health care institutions and institutions for care for the disabled. As an autonomous authority, it is one of five organisations tasked with implementation by the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport.
