NBHI ends legal tasks

Printen

A new step has been taken in the process of dismantling the NBHI.

January 19th, 2010 - As of January 1st, 2010, the Netherlands Board for Healthcare Institutions (NBHI) has been discharged of its legal tasks on building activities by healthcare institutions in the Netherlands. This is the result of decisions by the Dutch government to end its direct involvement in the building for healthcare. Following these decisions the NBHI’s permission for building healthcare facilities was no longer required as of January 1st, 2009, and the institutions had to fund their investments in the commercial market.
Following these changes mr. Tom Vroon, vicepresident of NBHI, has been appointed the sole administrator to the NBHI, effective as of January 1st, 2010. His principal task will be to settle the current affairs of the organisation and see to the dismantling of its offices.

Research and consultancy
As has been announced earlier the research and consultancy activities of the NBHI will be continued by the Dutch Centre for Health Assets (DuCHA), a business unit of TNO organisation for applied research.
